Meet the Team

Our lovely ladies behind Flowers by Gabrielle are always striving to bring you the most beautiful blooms and best arrangements for any occasion.

  • Gabrielle Reilly opened up Flowers by Gabrielle in 2001 after finishing her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wayne State University. Flowers by Gabrielle specializes in lush, gardeny arrangements and unique gift items. Gabrielle comes from a family of artists and designers and her creativity and design sense comes naturally. Botanicals are a constant source of fascination and inspiration for her work in daily florals and wedding and event design. She hopes to serve the community bringing beauty into your lives for years to come!

  • Ella is a enthusiastic junior designer in training with a sharp eye for events and party planning. Currently studying Business Administration at Wayne State University, Ella is passionate about blending creativity with practicality. From crafting memorable events to managing social media platforms and website content, she brings a fresh perspective and innovative flair to every project. With a commitment to excellence and a drive for success, she is ready to leave a lasting impression in the design and event management sphere.

  • Lulu joined the Flowers by Gabrielle team in 2018. As the official shop dog, she is an integral part of the team. Aside from being the goodest girl, she serves as our chief customer relations officer, emotional support dog, and head of HR. She will greet you with a gentle jump up on your leg and if you don’t pay enough attention to her she is known to softly cry until you give her what she needs. There are a few customers who eschew flowers and just come in to see Lulu. However, as our director of sales and marketing, she will make sure that you leave with a bloom and a bauble or two. Her cuteness and winning personality made her the perfect choice to head up the customer retention department. Lulu looks forward to your next visit… she knows you can’t resist coming back (to see her).

  • Since she was a child, Jenny has had a deep fondness for nature and botanicals. In 2005 she began working at a small flower shop, taking care of the many tropical plants and learning some simple flower arranging. It wasn't until she joined Flowers by Gabrielle in 2006, that she realized how truly fun and creative floral design can be, and she was able to grow her skills as a designer. She moved away for college in 2008 but came back in 2016 and re-joined the FBG team. Her love of nature shines through in her design style. Using her extensive gardening knowledge, Jenny enjoys growing fresh cut flowers in her expanding home garden. She is currently participating in the Michigan State University Organic Farmer Training Program, where she is gaining skills and knowledge to become a more successful organic grower. Aside from flowers, Jenny also grows a variety of fruits and vegetables that she loves to share with friends and neighbors. She enjoys volunteer work and fundraising for causes that are important to her. If you are a regular customer, it is likely that you have met one of her many foster dogs. Jenny believes that the floral industry is an ever evolving landscape and that designers must evolve with it. She takes advantage of any opportunity to learn new skills helpful for staying on trend.

  • Carolyn was inspired to be an artist at a young age when she would watch her mother paint. She focused her time on artistic endeavors in high school and then went on to study art at Sienna Heights College, Cleveland Institute of Art, and finally Kent State University in Ohio. Carolyn raised two sons on her own, while working in the green industry and even then she still managed to create collages and paint. After a solo show in 2014 and numerous art shows later, she quit her career in landscape to pursue painting full time. Working on a commission basis, she has painted many portraits of both humans and pets, landscapes and recently she has focused on botanicals. Carolyn joined Flowers By Gabrielle in 2021 as a Christmas decorator and since then she has worked in the shop as a floral assistant. She is our resident artist creating cards, bookmarks and paintings, all of which are available in our gift shop.
